So, my fantastic company has an employee recognition program that allows employees to recognize each other for doing a good job. Once a month three of these little recognition cards are selected and the person who was recognized is given a grant certificate to donate $100 to a charity. Well, I won one and this is who I was happy to donate to:
My grand vision

Well, it’s finally, pretty much done. But for some gravel and plants, the grant vision that is my deck has been completed. Below is a gallery of pictures including some shots of my new windows - which I hinted at in one of my initial deck postings. You get a sweet before and after shot.
I think I somehow managed not to get a shot of the two gigantic flower beds built into the deck. The house itself kind of brings down the swankness of the deck with it’s very outdated and dying siding so I eliminated those shots, but they’re the only ones with the flower beds. Foiled again!
My dad’s favorite part is my favorite part too - the view from my bedroom (included below). I have even gone so far as to place a chair way out there all by itself, just so I can have it in that vignette.
I’m liking it

More Firefox goodness

Stumbling around the internet I found some more cool extensions for Firefox. I already had half of these, but the rest are pretty swank, as well.

My former boss was born on 9/11 33 years ago. To reclaim her birthday, she became a part of charity:water (http://www.charitywater.org/birthdays/fundraiser/sept/view/1476). I donated to it on behalf of her and am helping build this - http://www.charitywater.org/birthdays/livedrill.htm
