A good commentary on perfectionism from a blog I just found called English360:

A ceramics teacher announced on opening day that he was dividing the class into two groups. All those on the left side of the studio, he said, would be graded solely on the quantity of the work they produced. All those on the right would be graded solely on their works’ quality.

Cooliris Previews
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2207

Cooliris Previews gives you the power to browse and share Web links and rich media faster. Just mouse over any link, and the Cooliris preview window immediately appears to show you the content. To email it, just click.

• Simply mouse over the Cooliris link icon, and a preview window will instantly appear to show you the underlying content. No more clicking back and both, or leaving your current page.

• To email a link instantly, just right-click on any web page.

• Right-click on any phrase to have Cooliris automatically do a subsearch in Google, Wikipedia, or a dictionary.

• Customize how and when you want the preview window to appear.

I have seen no reduction in browsing speed so far.

Going that extra mile

The state’s 75,000 eighth-graders can sign the Wisconsin Covenant agreement starting May 10, promising to earn a B average, take courses to prepare for college and be good citizens.

In exchange, the state will guarantee a spot in one of its universities or technical colleges and a combination of work study, loans and scholarships to help low-income students pay their way.

Is it me, or are they guaranteeing what you can already get in Wisconsin with a B average - a spot at one of their universities and a combination of work study, loans and scholarships to pay for college. Wow, way to go the extra mile.

Just add it to the pile
