Who is Vincent Price? Seriously? God it hurts me to talk to today’s youth - especially when they’re only 3 years younger than I am.

For those of you who don’t know who he is, first, cower in shame. Second, know that he was, and forever will be, the quintessential horror film star AND, more importantly, voice. He was and IS horror. And not the utter shit that they churn out today. Today’s movies are not horror films - the are gorey monstrocities that only highlight the psychosis growing in today’s society.

If you’re in a traveling mood, the Witch’s Dungeon Movie Museum located in Bristol, Connecticut features detailed life-size wax replicas of characters from some of Price’s films, including The Fly, The Abominable Dr. Phibes and The Masque of the Red Death

I’ve been to this museum and well, don’t go around Halloween or you’ll wait in line for 3 hours for a five minute trip through a teeny building. Oh that hurt AND I had to pee.

Finally, if you still think you’ve never heard of him and were born after 1981 - we ALL know you saw the Micheal Jackson video “Thriller” that Price narrated or Edward Scissorhands where he played Edward’s inventor.

For those of you a little older, and hopefully a little wiser, he also played Egghead on the original Batman series.

Most importantly, though, he starred in or narrated an astonishing number or early horror films - which, of course, would be his greatest contribution.
